Susana ReyesSusana Reyes (MSci, power engineering, Polytechnic University of Madrid (PUM), 1998) is a Ph.D. student at the Power Engineering Department at the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales at the Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia (UNED) in Madrid, Spain. She is working on her dissertation while in residence in the United States at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her field of study is the safety and environmental aspects of inertial fusion energy. Ms. Reyes received the Best
Student Paper Award at the American Nuclear Society's Fourteenth Topical
Meeting on the Technology of Fusion Energy. Ms. Reyes won the award for
her paper entitled "Accident
Consequences Analysis of the SOMBRERO Inertial Fusion Energy Power Plant
Design." |
